SPOKANE, Wash. — Mark Peterson and the 4 News Now Extreme Team are working all week to renovate and enhance the headquarters of Spokane's Women Helping Women Fund, allowing it to ultimately help more women.
The 4 News Now Extreme Team is dedicated to making a difference in our local community. Led and organized by weather anchor, Mark Peterson of 4 News Now, the Extreme Team is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Spokane, Washington. They exist to assist organizations and individuals who cannot physically or financially complete community projects that positively impact the lives of those living in the Inland Northwest.
Beginning in 2009, the Extreme Team has provided support for numerous outreach efforts that have translated into an economic impact of millions of dollars. Projects are largely centered around structural renovations and rehabilitation efforts for organizations that provide resources to our community.
Those who help with the Extreme Team campaigns give their time and resources voluntarily. Many local companies continuously provide products, services and employee support for these outreach efforts at no charge.
The Extreme Team vets out projects they have been asked to consider through their large network of community relationships and will often takes nominations directly from people living in our community.
